She was inspired to enter the field due to her joy of creating relationships with her patients and supporting them physically, emotionally, and mentally. Dr. El-Sherif’s integrative approach to medicine combines conventional and complementary therapies to treat the whole person with the aim of achieving optimal wellness at any age. Dr. El-Sherif earned her medical degree from Kansas City University in Joplin, Mo. She completed her family medicine residency in the Methodist Health System in Dallas and an integrative medicine residency at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Tucson.
